Caring the society

One day, my friend and I was shopping in the mall, suddenly a voice of crying caught our attention from a distance. We were distracted from the crying therefore we went looking around to find out what is happening. We got to the front and we saw a pair of mother and son. The mother was talking to another person, while the little boy was crying and moaning at the same time. The little boy was wasn't like little kid throwing temper in the public, in fact he seem like suffering, having trouble to express himself, he was sobbing, moaning out loud and mumbling. What makes me confuse more is that the mother have no response to her son at all, she just keep talking to her friend, seem like she have get used to this situation. We watch from afar the mother and son, trying to figure out the situation, then my friend pull me away.

She said: "let' just go, can't you see that child is a special kid? Don't look at him, he cant take the pressure of attention, and he will become more aggressive, hurry up, don't make people feel hard."

So, my body has move away with my friend, but my heart still stays in the previous scene. I wonder have any of you encounter such a situation before? I wonder what is the best response or reaction? I cant help but keep examine myself deep inside, if only I have the courage to go forward to care for the child, taking some time for the child and send him some love, pamper his emotion or even a simple hug is more than enough.

This is today's society attitude, everyone is cold-hearted, unconcerned. Dont you see that, when people encounter this kind of situation, how would people deal with it? Some people say: "of course we leave, what if the person suddenly got fed up and harm all of us?“ , some people hold the attitude of ”I'm just gonna walk away, it's non of my business tho.",  perhaps there are other people like my friend, with "don't hurt someone with their scars" attitude, in order to let that person and himself/herself to feel better they will pretend as in they do not know anything and ready to leave in silence.

Where is the love of the society?

What can we do to make the society feel more love and heartwarming? I bet we all have encounter the situation where we having meal outside and some NPO people come and ask for donation. I tell myself, next time instead of frowned to that person, I would just smile, nod and say thank you, simple enough. Always smile. All these small action would definitely brighten up someone day. Let's warm up this society from our little caring action.
